BCW (Part of Gothia Financial Group) one of the UK and Ireland's largest providers of credit management services, has acquired the specialist utilities debt collection company Utility Management Services (UMS) for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition, from infrastructure support services firm EnServe, makes BCW Group the first debt collection firm in the UK to have the capability to provide both field collection and final collection services. BCW Group currently acts for all of the UK's 'big six' energy companies, and the three leading energy companies in Ireland. UMS retains highly-trained professional field agents to conduct a range of services on behalf of clients, which includes providing debtors with payment advice and options. The business has built a strong reputation in the utilities market for its professional approach and compliance with industry best practice. UMS expects to produce revenues in excess of £5m during 2012.
